Backup and sync
Your setup can live somewhere other than this PC: settings, presets, game defaults, car facts and light patterns. Settings tab, Backup & Sync.
To the cloud
Sign in on the Account tab, then Back up now puts your setup there. On another PC, sign in and press Restore from cloud to bring it down. Tick Keep my devices in sync and both halves happen by themselves, uploading as you change things and pulling those changes onto every device you are signed in on.
Uploading is a supporter perk. Restoring is free, so a backup you have is always yours to bring back.
To a file
Backup… bundles the same setup into one archive you can keep on a drive or carry to a new machine, and Restore… loads one back. A file restore replaces what is on this PC, so it asks first.
To hand one preset to someone rather than your whole setup, use Import and Export on the Presets tab.
What stays on this PC
Anything tied to this machine stays behind: the USB capture details, file paths, the ports the plugin listens on. They belong to the PC rather than to you, so the second machine keeps its own and its wheel works on arrival.
Tuning from another wheel
Force feedback tuning is dialed in for a particular wheel, and numbers built on a G923 feel wrong on a G PRO. Your FFB always backs up; FFB tuning from a different wheel model decides what happens when it lands on a wheel it was not made for. Ask each time, always apply, or never apply.
