Putting controls on your wheel
Most of what you would open this panel to change can be put on a control instead, and changed while you are driving. The bindings live on the Controls tab.
Anything SimHub can see works: a wheel button, a button box, a keyboard key, a gamepad, a Stream Deck. Click a field on that tab, press the control you want, and the binding is made. Bindings are stored by SimHub rather than in your preset, so they follow you across cars and games rather than changing under you.
Strength, which the wheel’s own dial no longer sets
The Trueforce dial on the wheel stops doing anything while the plugin is driving the wheel, so Master gain up and Master gain down are how strength gets changed once you are moving. (Why the dial goes quiet.)
Step per press sets how far each press moves it. Master gain is clamped between 0 and 2.
Cycling the light library
Your wheel holds five patterns and the library holds as many as you like, so Rev pattern next (and back) is what walks the rest of them mid-session. Without a binding you can still change pattern, but only from this panel, which is not where you are when it matters. (The library, and how it swaps.)
The rest of the list
- Telemetry FFB up / down. The strength of the force the plugin builds itself, for the games where it does. (What that is.)
- Auto force. Runs the current game’s auto force calibration from the rim: in iRacing it sets the max force from the learned peak, and in Forza it resets the auto-strength learner so the strength re-levels for the car. One press, no settings trip.
- Wheel OLED next / back. Step through the wheel screen’s pages.
- Dash tab next / back. Step through the phone dash’s tabs, so it can be driven from a button rather than reached for.
- Peak force up / down. iRacing’s full-scale force. Raise it if the wheel is clipping, lower it if the car feels weak. (iRacing setup.)
Every one of these also appears in SimHub’s own Controls and events list, under Trueforce For All, if you would rather bind it from there.
